Six Body Shop Products I'm Loving At The Moment...

I am having a real skincare renaissance at the moment as it has become a very important part, of not only my morning and nighttime routines, but also my self-care routine too. I have tried vast many skincare products in my time, but have only recently been specific in what I want to put on my skin, and what I need to use for my skin. I have found that The Body Shop has so many great products that I love and my skin loves too. Here are a few of my favourites...

I have never really been one for eye creams, but I love how soothing they can be, and as my job involves staring at a screen all day, I thought it would be best to invest in a nice eye cream that can serve an everyday purpose but wasn't too expensive. The Body Shop Vitamin E Eye Cream (£13) does everything I need it to. It's soothing, lasts for up to 48 hours, and give my eyes that well-needed moisture. It has a very light fragrance, if any, and feels lovely to apply to your eye area, especially after a long day at work. I like to use a very small dot of the product on my under eye area and on the top of my eyelids on each eye and do a little massage. Even though it says up to 48 hours of protection and moisturisation, I like to apply this product every morning and evening, or whenever I feel like it, because being completely honest with you if I'm really tired in the morning or evening, my skincare routine goes right out the window! The Body Shop does have an entire Vitamin E skincare range, but this is currently the only product of that range that I have tried so far.

I love The Body Shop Tea Tree Night Lotion (£10) as it is perfect for my skin type! I have quite oily skin, so I know tea tree is going to be fab for my face. I think I actually had this product years ago, and I mean 10+ years ago, but for some reason, I didn't think to purchase it again. But now, realising my mistake and when I was on the hunt for a new night cream, I knew this was going to be the one for me. The bottle has a pump mechanism, so I usually only use one pump and that is just enough for my whole face - I may use a little extra if my face is really dry or if I've just come out of the shower. I like to apply this on my forehead, cheeks and chin and work my way down from my forehead to my neck, trying my best to give myself a little face massage. There's a nice tea tree scent to it, and it's not at all overpowering. Some tea tree products that I have tried in the past have had a really strong scent of tea tree, but this product is very lovely scented. My skin instantly looks clearer and brighter in the morning. It really is such a great product for those with more oily or combination skin. This will definitely be my number one night cream for a LONG while!

I don't think I've been able to find a better moisturiser in my LIFE! I first found out about The Body Shop Almond Milk Body Yogurt (£11) because I was lucky enough to win a contest from The Body Shop, and they sent me some of their goodies, including this body yogurt. I always knew that The body Shop was famous for their body butters, but have always found them a bit too thick for my liking, but this... my god, it is incredible! It's so light and it absorbs so quickly! And the almond milk scent is just so dreamy! I definitely think it will be very difficult to get me to switch to another moisturiser! My skin has never felt softer. I loved this product in the summer, as it was so light and quick to absorb, I could have a shower, apply the body yogurt and instantly get dressed and be ready for the day. I also liked to top myself up with a little bit of the product if I'd been out in the sun for a little while. My only wish is that I wish they did bigger pots!

I have been through a lot of face moisturisers, most of them have been okay, some of them have been awful, but only a very few have been great - and this is one of them. The Body Shop Vitamin C Protect Lotion SPF 30 (£15) is my go-to morning moisturiser for the warmer weather. I'm currently trying out The Body Shop Seaweed Oil Control Lotion SPF 15 (£15) that I managed to get a sample of, and I am loving that one at the moment too! But this product, as I just mentioned, is fantastic for those warmer days, so late Spring and the majority of Summer would be perfect for this product. It was very important to me that my moisturiser has SPF in it, as I am the BIGGEST fan of Queer Eye, and my Lord And Saviour Johnathan Van Ness always says that we should be wearing our sunscreen henny! This product has such a lovely citrus scent to it, which also makes it wonderful for Summer, and it's in a small enough tube that makes it easy to carry around with you for extra top-ups throughout the day. My skin has been looking so bright, been feeling so soft, and it's also great to know that I'll be protected during the sunnier days with the added SPF protection. My only problem, if you can even call it a problem? is that I feel it's a bit too much for my skin going into Winter, which is why I managed to get a sample of The Body Shop Seaweed Oil Control Lotion SPF 15, which my skin is loving! Our skin changes with the seasons, and we need to remember to care for it accordingly, so having seasonal skincare is something I'm definitely going to be looking into in the coming year.

I love me a face wash. I'd usually go for one with exfoliants, but I am now super aware and quite scared of using microbeads, so only purchase gel formulated face washes, and as I was due for a new fash wash, I thought I'd give The Body Shop Seaweed Deep Cleansing Gel Wash (£8.50) a try. I have quite oily/combination skin, so I always like to try and go for products that will help with that, and as I only use this product when I have a shower, so every other day, I knew I wouldn't be overloading my skin with all of these anti-oil products. This product foams up really nicely, and I use this with an exfoliator mitten, as I love a deep cleanse, and as said before, I usually went for face washes with exfoliant beads in/had a 'scrub' effect, so I'm giving this product that extra exfoliating properties with the mitten. My skin feels so fresh, clean and bright after this product, but I feel like if I used it every day then it would really dry my face out, as that I what I have experienced with other gel face washes in the past, but this one doesn't feel dry on my skin at all. It has a lovely mineral scent to it too, making it smell spa-like, which is something I really love. I'd love to try out some other Body Shop face washes and see how they compare.

The Body Shop Tea Tree Purifying And Balancing Gel Shampoo And Conditioner

I don't usually branch out when it comes to shampoo or conditioner. I usually get whatever is available in my local supermarket when I do the food shop, but I recently got a Body Shop gift voucher and decided to try their shampoos and conditioners. As with my skin, my hair is quite oily too, so I decided to try The Body Shop Tea Tree Purifying And Balancing Gel Shampoo (£7.50 250ml) and The Body Shop Tea Tree Purifying And Balancing Gel Conditioner (£7.50 250ml). I quite like the tea tree scent; it's fresh and really energising, and almost has a cold sensation to it, which feels really nice when showering first thing in the morning for a wake-me-up! My hair feels so refreshed and clean after using this product. Whilst it's a bit too pricey for me to have as my regular shampoo and conditioner, it's a nice little treat, ad I'll be sad when I've used it all! I guess I'll have to wait for my birthday or Christmas before trying out a different shampoo and conditioner combo!

I love all of these products, and most of them have become core staples in my skincare routines - it'll be tough on finding other products to replace them! I hope you've found a product on here that you've enjoyed.
