I'm Kayleigh, and welcome to my blog! I'm a 25-year-old Libra, INFP, and lover of all things bookish, well-being, and feel-good. I'm on a mission to get people to talk about, and view, their bodies differently - more positively, or at least, neutrally. I'm an image editor with a purpose - to get people to be transparent about how they edit their images. As someone who has edited and changed their own body in images in the past, I'm making it my goal to change the way we all view our bodies and the link that social media has a play in it all.
I'm also on a journey to learn more about my anxiety, as it is something that is very new, and sometimes quite scary for me. I hope by sharing my experience that others can use that to help their own anxiety, and for me to learn from other people too.
I'm probably curled up somewhere with a good book and a cup of tea, or taking a stroll by the beach or through the trees.
When I'm not doing that (or running this blog), I'm working away at my business - Lightbulb + Star. I offer Adobe Lightroom image editing services for photographers, and I bloody love it. It has taught me so much, and I love being able to give my clients some time back so they can focus on whatever they need to. We all need a little bit of time to ourselves, and at Lightbulb + Star, that's what I give - time.
WHAT'S THE GOAL?
Whilst I'm working away on my business, there are other passions that call to me. I absolutely love writing - I have got a children's fantasy book, and a horror/drama screenplay that I am currently planning and writing.
I want to advocate more in the body image movement. Having body image struggles myself, I'm hoping to be a voice that can change the way people view their own bodies for the better.
I'm also on a journey with my anxiety. My anxiety came really out of the blue. I'm still learning about my anxiety, what its triggers are, and how to cope with it. I hope I can bring comfort, understanding, and relief to people who are experiencing something similar to me. We are all in this together.
This blog is fully a passion project, and I hope you find something you enjoy here.
