A 2021 SUNRISE | WELCOMING IN THE NEW YEAR

I can't be the only one looking forward to 2021, right? After the year of 2020, hopefully, it can only get better! This post isn't going to dwell on the past, but instead, look to the future, and what I'm excited for in 2021.

My boyfriend and I had a great idea that we would see the new year in by watching the first sunrise of the year, but it was incredibly cloudy, and we only got the tiniest slither of red on the horizon - quite far from how I was imagining it in my head the night before!

I was thinking of a beautiful sunrise, maybe a little bit of a chilly breeze and a few clouds in the sky to break up the golden glow of the sun. But, British weather being what it is, I had no idea why I set my hopes so high.

So, whilst we didn't actually see a sunrise, we sure were there for it, whether we saw it or not, and it was a lovely moment to share - I'll definitely be doing it next year, and hopefully, there will be a better sunrise!

What I Hope 2021 Will Bring...

I have but a few hopes and dreams for 2021 - trying not to put too much pressure on myself, I'm going to do my best to enjoy the year that is given to us, with all of it's up's and down's.

  • I hope to write on this blog more often with meaningful content and things I like, because I believe that that's the point of having a blog - sharing what you love!

  • I'm looking forward to slowing down and taking things at my own pace. As much as I love working, I feel that I get burnt out way too quickly and need a day or two to wind down properly - and I guess I'm lucky enough to decide when I can or can't work, one of the many joys of working for yourself!

  • I love learning new things, and I'm going to try my best to learn as much as I can. From anything business-related to general knowledge, a language, and even new skills - if you've stopped learning then you've stopped living!

Apart from a few other usual things, like do more yoga, meditate, exercise more, and all the usual things I always want to do at the beginning of every year, I feel like these three things are the points at which I'd like to anchor to my 2021.

I hope you all have a wonderful start to 2021 - let's hope it's filled with a bit of joy, happiness, and magic!
